Rebecca practised as a clinical dietitian in hospital and domiciliary settings before completing her PhD at QUT. After two years as a postdoctoral research fellow within CRE-EPOCH, an NHMRC funded Centre for Research Excellence in the Early Prevention of Obesity in Childhood, Rebecca was appointed to an ongoing academic position within the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences.

Accomplishments:
Current ARC DECRA Fellow (2023-2025) with a career total of $1.9 million in research income ($900,000 as CIA) and 50 publications. These grants fund original research undertaken in collaboration with community, government, and industry partners including Children’s Health Queensland, Play Matters (formally Playgroup Qld) and C&K, one of Queensland’s largest ECEC providers
